Features expected to be in Android N

Android N is Google’s next smartphone and tablet operating system, update that’s been so thoroughly refined. It is not yet confirmed whether this will be android 7 update or smaller updates for Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Google announced at its IO event that it would launch Android N latter this summer. The name for this new update has not been decided and you can vote for this coming update starting with ‘N’ at Android’s Website.

A lot of speculations are made about the new features coming in Android N. One of the coolest feature that is expected in Android N is that it supports multi-windows i.e. you’ll be able to open two apps at once. Google is adding a new quick settings menu to the notifications shade you pull down from the top.

It also announced that notification cards will be grouped together if they’re from the same app. As far as multi tasking is concerned, there will be two new handy features. One will be clear all button at the top of multi tasking menu. This lets you close all applications running in the background with a single tap.

Secondly, Google’s added Quick Switch to Android N. This allows you jump back to the previous application with a double tap of the recent button in the navigation bar. Now, updates will become more seamless. We will gain themes for google keyboard in Android as well. The new android N might also support Unicode 9.0 emoji which includes introduction of 72 new emoji’s.

The developer version is rolling our there, you can use it if your device is rooted. Otherwise If you want to get this latest software, it’s best to get a Nexus device as this update will first come to a Nexus device. HTC has confirmed it will be bringing Android N to the HTC 10, One A9 and One M9. Motorola has also confirmed the Moto G4 Plus will get Android 7 software in the future.
