Apple iPhone 7: Rumors and Leaks

Apple is expected to release its iPhone 7 in the fall of September 2016. The official release is a few months away but there are rumors all around about the expected features of the device. Apparently, Apple will be releasing two versions of the new iPhone – iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus. Like the previous-iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus, these will also feature 4.7 and 5.5 inch display.

The most interesting rumor about iPhone 7 is that the new device is not going to have the traditional 3.5 mm audio jack. Instead it will be using much thinner lightning port making it much slimmer than the previous iPhones. It is said that Apple will be selling a set of wireless  bluetooth earphones along with the handset.

Apparently, the new iPhone will offer Dual-SIM functionality, which will be first time for Apple. It may come with a minimum of 32GB of storage.  Rumors also suggest that iPhone 7 Plus will have 3GB of RAM, while the iPhone 7 will only use 2GB.

Rumors indicate that the next iPhone will be water resistant, feature liquid metal. Apple is expected to move from LCD screens to OLED screens.  The iPhone 7 will have no antenna bands and a larger camera. Also, iPhone 7 plus is rumored to have a Dual lens rear camera. It will also carry pressure sensitive 3D Touch home button. A leak also suggests that apple will increase the battery size while reducing the handset’s thickness. Reportedly, apple is also working on wireless charging technology.

It is worth mentioning here that all these are just rumors as of now. We will have to wait until the official launch to be sure about the specifications of the device.
