LG has launched its latest flagship device in India. LG G5, the modular smartphone, is priced at 52,990 INR and is exclusively available on Flipkart and retail store across the country. The device is available in four colour variants- Silver, Titan, Pink and Gold.
The distinguishing feature of this smartphone is its modular body , these modules are known as LG friends. The modules can be swapped to get better camera, music or battery performance. Pricing of these modules has not been revealed yet.
LG G5 is powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC clocked at 2.15 GHz. It offers 4GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory which is expandable further up-to 200 GB via a microSD card slot. It is a Dual-SIM smart phone and has a 5.30-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) display with a pixel density of 554ppi. The modular smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and sports a 16 MP rear camera with laser autofocus and a 8 MP front camera.
The smartphone is backed by 2800mAh battery which can be increased further by 1200mAh using LG cam plus module. The module apart from increasing the battery will also help in providing better grip and stability while taking pictures and will provide buttons to perform camera operations.
