Microsoft brings new Surface Studio, Surface Book and a Windows 10 upgrade in New York overnight. Microsoft Surface Studio is a masterpiece by the company to show innovation and power with this all-in-one computer. Surface Studio is priced at 3000 USD while the Indian pricing and pre-ordering is yet to be announced
Microsoft Surface Studio
It features 32GB of RAM and a 2 TB hybrid drive. There are 4 USB3.0 ports, a Mini Display Port, an SD card slot and Wi-Fi. The display offers 192 pixels per inch resolution density, some 13.5 million pixels overall making it very high resolution.
The Surface Studio’s screen supported by two small chrome arms and small metal base below it. It has a 12.5mm thick 28-inch high resolution monitor which rests on a flexible hinge that tilts as low as 20 degrees. Surface Studio cab be users with a keyboard and mouse, and a new circular Surface Dial designed for scrolling and navigating.
The Surface Dial comes with different functions like- scrolling through a word processing document, turn up the audio volume or zoom into images. You can even attach Surface Dial to the display and can use it. Also there is a Surface Pen for drawing.
Microsoft Surface Book
There will be three versions available in Surface Book. One with 256GB of storage and a Core i7 processor with 8GB of RAM will cost $3799. One with 512GB of storage (i7, 16GB) costs $4399, while one with 1TB of storage (i7, 16GB) costs $5199.
Introduction of 3-D features in Windows
The other big announcement was the introduction of new 3-D update in Windows and Office software with a “Creators Update” to Windows 10 users. Microsoft is offering a tool for smartphones which will create a 3-D version of an object. Users can scan multiple photos and the software will stitch them together. Microsoft’s Paint will also enable the users to create 3-D artworks by combining existing 2-D images with newly scanned objects in three dimensions.
