Samsung comes with its new Gear S3 at IFA 2016. Company announces its two new variant with bit of upgradation, One with rugged design “Frontier” and another with elegant design “Classic”. Both the models are unique in their own way, “Frontier” can be used anytime but “Classic” gives a luxury finish. There is no Official conformation about the pricing or availability of the device.
Samsung Gear S3 features a 1.3-inch Circular Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla SR+ and 360×360 pixel resolution. It is powered by 1GHz dual-core SoC coupled with 768MB of RAM and 4G of Internal memory. It runs on Tizen based platform 2.3.2 modified for Gear wearables. It is backed by 380mAh of battery and supports Wireless Charging. It comes with different sensor like HRM, Accelerometer, Barometer, Gyro and Ambient Light Sensor.
It also has an SOS feature in case of emergency, it tracks location (built-in GPS) and can alert to concerned persons. Samsung Gear S3 is IP68 certified Water Resistant and has connectivity features like NFC, Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi. Company has also provided additional faces for these watches which can downloaded directly to the Gear S3 instead of downling to smartphone first.
